On January 7, 2017, the annual work conference and academic forum of IRCSBE was successfully held in School of Construction Management and Real Estate. The meeting has summarized the annual work and academic exchanges to promote the development of the center.
Prof Kunhui Ye, executive vice-director of IRCSBE hosted the meeting. Center director Professor Liyin Shen provided a summary of the development process and present situation of IRCSBE. The Party Committee Standing Committee of Chongqing University, the Minister of Publicity Department and the deputy director of the Faculty of built environment, Professor Xuebin Hu, expressed his affirmation of achievement in a remote way. Then Wenquan Yuan, director of the Social Science Research Office of Chongqing University and Zhao Bin, party secretary of school of Construction Management and Real Estate, congratulated the achievement of the center and hoped that the center team would continue its efforts to further enhance its international influence. Associate Professor Chao Mao, deputy director of the Center, explained the selection process of excellent papers in the center, selected one best paper and 10 excellent papers and invited guests to award for them.
Second, Prof. Gui Ye, deputy director of the Center, presided over the academic forum. Professor Yue He from Chongqing University Social Organization and Development Research Center made a wonderful discussion about the internal relations between Buddhism and science research. Dr. Cong Huang, director of Atkins China, introduced the methodology and project practice of sustainable planning and design. Dr Yingbing Feng of the University of Western Sydney in Australia shared his research on safety inputs and safety performance of Singapore construction projects. Professor Yuxin Zhang of Chongqing University gave a systematic explanation of the skills and methods for writing and publishing high-level scientific papers. Hongping Yuan, associate professor of Southwest Jiaotong University, gave a lecture on waste management based on system perspective.
Finally, IRCSBE teachers and guests jointly discussed the future development goals of the center at Room 317, School of Construction Management and Real Estate building.
