CRIOCM 2017, 22nd International Conference of Advancement of Construction Management and Real Estate Held in Swinburne University of Technology, Australia, 20-23 November 2017.
The conference focussed on topics of construction management, real estate development, urbanization and urban development, and utilization of land resources, attracting experts and scholars from the fields of global construction management and urban development. Professor Shen Liyin, Xiang Pengcheng, Ye Gui, Mao Chao, Xu Pengpeng and Teacher Zhang Rong, as well as nine Ph.D. and master students from IRCSBE of Chongqing university invited to take part in this conference.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Prof Patrick Zou and Prof Jay Sanjayna. Prof Aleksandar Subic, Vice Chancellor of Swinburne University of Science and Technology, on behalf of the conference organizers, extended a warm welcome to the participants; Prof Aleksandar Subic, Minister for Economic Development, Employment, Transport and Resources of Victoria, Melbourne briefed on the development of Australian industrial economy and infrastructure to participants. Professor Wu Yuzhe, president of China Construction Management Research Institute, addressed the conference on behalf of the research institute.
The conference invites Prof. KW Chau from University of Hong Kong, Dr Russell Loveridge from the Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich, Prof. Brian Uy from University of Sydney, Prof. Xiangyu Wang from Curtin University, Prof Florence Y.Y. Ling from National University of Singapore; Prof. Wei Pan from University of Hong Kong to make speeches about Keynote. The contents cover the changes in property prices in urban renewal, construction industrialization, the technology innovation of construction industry, low carbon or zero carbon architecture and other frontier research achievements.
During the conference, the postgraduate and doctoral students of IRCSBE made reports on their respective research contents, which achieved good results, reflecting the solid research atmosphere and fruitful results of scientific research.
At the closing ceremony of the conference, Professor Shen Liyin, the president of China Construction Management Research Association and the distinguished professor of our institute, was invited to address the conference. Prof. Shen reviewed the efforts of the Chinese Construction Management Institute for more than twenty years. The research conference has made continuous contributions to promoting academic research in the field of construction management and urban development both at home and abroad, and achieved good results. It also expressed deeply expectations for the future research activities and academic exchanges of China Construction Management Research Council. The chairman of the conference Prof. Patrick Zou gave the certificate to Prof. Shen on behalf of the research society, thanked him for his persistent efforts in the founding, leading and advancing China Construction Management Research Institute.
In addition, the Organizing Committee announced that CRIOCM 2018 will be held in Guiyang, and the CRIOCM 2017 and CRIOCM 2018 organizers have completed the handover ceremony of the flag. We also wish that the next international academic symposium on construction management and real estate development will be successfully held!
